Why a Bigger Vision Can Pull You Further Than Any Plan Ever Could

Never shrink your vision to fit a plan. Having a vision matters. It’s all your dreams and your goals in one. It excites you, it drives you. Of course, we all need a plan. You can shrink your vision to fit your plan and take those steps to achieve those desires and dreams.

I say this because sometimes a plan can feel heavy, it's structured, it's maybe even colour coded, but it can become a drag and needed as it is because it outlines what needs to be done, in what time frame and who does it. If the vision isn’t there, then it’s going to be missing something strong.

When I used to do a vision in the past, I held back as I would question myself as to whether or not it was realistic and even achievable, but now I know this isn’t what vision is about, it should be remarkable, memorable and what drives you to keep on pushing. The plan gives me the push to do do what I need to by when it needs to be done by and we all need that but my vision reminds me why I started, why I continue to do what i do, and it shows me something other than numbers, meetings or emails that need to be responded to and that kind of pull is powerful.

Vision shifts your mindset, rather than asking what could be possible, it makes you question yourself about what could be possible if I went all in.

If you really feel it, this will roll down to your team, and they will feel it too. It can make you and your business almost magnetic. The team want to give their energy and creativity to work that excites them, not just tasks they have to complete to fill the hours. The same for clients, they will not just see you for your offers and your treatment list but for your energy and your mission, your belief in what you are building and the conviction with which you do it.

Just remember, if you always aim for realistic, that is probably what you will get, but you could be missing out on something remarkable. Vision isn’t a luxury, it’s your leadership tool, your compass and reminds you to raise your game and your eyes from the daily grind.
