Why January Isn’t the Time to Reinvent, but to Refine.

January is often thought of as the month to reinvent, whether that's you or your business, but we believe this is not the way we should operate, and certainly not the time to make huge changes.

If anything, it’s all about refinement. Refining your systems, refining your team, refining the way in which you work, and the business operates. Just small tweaks can make huge differences to any business and if you haven’t already then now’s the time to dig deep, open up those cupboards you are keeping closed as the job seems too huge and systematically go through each area of the business and ask yourself what small tweak or refinement to this area could make things better, increase turnover, stop wasting time and also and most importantly ensure I can work consistently with direction and purpose.

Quite often we find owners who believe if something’s not quite working or delivering the results they wanted or expected, then they must reinvent the wheel, and this truly is not the answer. Minor tweaks here and there may be all that it needs, and a new pair of eyes on any situation can help you take that moment to consider.

Quick decision-making is certainly required throughout the life of an owner; however, it’s not always beneficial and can prove to be reactive rather than proactive. I have been there and made these same mistakes, and I take immense joy in helping owners avoid the same.

So, with all that in mind, please stop, take a moment to consider, and chat through things with us, whether you are a current client or not. Just 30 minutes can sometimes settle the mind and make you take a moment.
