It All Comes Down To Mindset

Mindset affects outcome, energy breeds energy…. This is a saying I use myself in everyday life and I truly believe it.

I try every day to create and maintain healthy habits (although here I am writing this eating stolen easter eggs from the kids stash they are yet to know is theres!), listening to audios and podcasts and reading books and although I love a good fiction romance/thriller I try to read influential books either on mindset or business and leave those for when i’m laying on a beach somewhere!. There are many other ways I find to help me on a personal level and as each and every one of us are different, what works for me may not work for you.

I started the year however attending a webinar with Roxie Nafousi which I embraced wholeheartedly and which focused me to write my vision/Guiding light for the year ahead on more of a personal level which in turn impacted some of my business goals, all for the better. She encouraged me to write it and put it away, it’s within my subconscious so no need to keep going over it. January 2025 I will get it out and see how I did! This is just another way of me focusing my mind and bettering my mindset.

If I had a team now I would encourage my team to be mindful. Whether that form part of team building days or team meetings, it will always be beneficial to get the team focusing on the positives.

In this industry where trends evolve rapidly and standards of beauty & hair seem to shift constantly, our mindset plays a crucial role in navigating the ever-moving landscape. Fostering a positive and resilient mindset is not just going to be beneficial,it's going to be essential for personal well-being and professional success.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability

For yourself being in an industry where the latest thing comes and goes with lightning speed, a growth mindset is also invaluable. When you can embrace continuous learning and remain open to ‘new’ everything without feeling like you have to do it or buy it there and then, then you can thrive amidst the ongoing changes. Staying focused on growth (and that can be from within) will ensure you are relevant and competitive without having to purchase the latest fad.

Self-Care and Empowerment

As professionals in this industry, cultivating a mindset that prioritises self-care and belief is fundamental. By helping clients feel confident in their own skin, we contribute to a culture of empowerment and self-care.

I feel this point is important for both ourselves as owners and team members, as nurturing our own self-care and mindset is essential in order for us to be able to support others i.e our clients and teams.

Resilience

I find this industry can be competitive and sometimes even judgmental, whether that be from clients or industry peers, so for me it’s increasingly important to develop and maintain a resilient mindset which in turn supports you to overcome setbacks and helps you to stay focused on your short and long-term goals.

Viewing challenges as opportunities for growth and self-improvement, ultimately means you emerge stronger and more determined.

So the moral of my story is that I truly believe mindset is everything. By fostering a growth mindset, prioritising self-care, confidence and cultivating resilience, beauty & hair professionals can navigate the challenges and opportunities of the industry with a much easier and clearer journey.
